ABOUT US

We started OurGirls based on our personal experience of applying universities and realising that as women, we begin to lose confidence in our abilities as we transition from school to university and into our careers.

It is so important to equip young girls with the confidence of "yes, I can!" through role models just like them who can mentor based on personal experiences to ensure the young mentees have the fullest knowledge of what they can do in the future and support on how to get there!

Zahra Haider

An architect-in-training by profession, Zahra manages OurGirls day-to-day building on her experience of working for University Admissions offices and her passion for mentoring and teaching.

Community & Third Party Liaison

Beth Collier

Beth joined the OurGirls team in 2018, having studied Linguistics at University College London. Beth also currently works at The Brilliant Club, an education-access charity. In her spare time, she enjoys playing netball and baking.
